More importantly, you leave each session with the sense that Matt is genuinely committed to helping you reach your target score. Through his use of daily study plans, performance assessments, and error logs, Matt engages with students both inside and outside of tutoring sessions. These tools create a highly structured environment in which students can purely focus on studying and making meaningful progress while Matt handles organization. Matt is also very responsive in between sessions; I was always able to reach him if I didn’t understand anything or needed additional help in a particular area. Above all else, Matt comprehensively understands the standardized tests he tutors for and will get you to your target score.

I had a great experience working with Matt, who was my one-on-one tutor. I reached out to him after I took a group course, when I felt that I needed more personalized help to get the score I was looking for. At our first session, Matt helped me create a long term plan of action. Throughout our time together, he put together problem sets and exercises for me to do that would address the specific skills I needed to strengthen. It was a notably personalized process that I believe was key to me reaching my goal. He was invaluable when it came to explaining new concepts and helped me better manage my time on the exam. One of the most important things we worked on was putting together an error log, which he went through with me during our sessions. He was highly communicative between our sessions and consistently checked on my progress throughout the week. During our time together, I took the exam several times, and each time he worked with me to improve my score. Matt was truly committed to my success and I would not have been able to reach my objective without him.
I really liked that Matthew has a formal teaching background. I sat in on a few other classes before deciding on his, and while the other teachers were clearly very intelligent and knew the material well, they didn’t have a good approach to presenting that material in a way that made it make sense. Matthew was really great at explaining concepts and teaching the material.
